Annam's 14 Idli Pot without Handle is a traditional Chettinad-style idli pot, known in Tamil as Idli Satti (இட்லி சட்டி) or Idli Panai (இட்லி பானை), made of Salem 304-grade stainless steel. It steams 14 idlis at a time on two plates of 7, and its plain, handle-free shape stores easily in the kitchen. It works on both gas and induction stoves.

How to use

Pour water into the pot, keeping it below the level of the bottom plate, and bring it to a boil. Grease the plates or line them with an idli cloth, fill each mould with batter, stack the plates and close the lid. Steam on a medium flame for 10–12 minutes, rest for 2 minutes, then remove the idlis.

Care

Wash with mild soap and warm water. Avoid steel wool and harsh scrubbers, and dry fully after washing.
