Annam's Idiyappam Steamer Plate is a perforated Salem 304 stainless steel plate that fits our Chettinad idli pots. Use it in place of an idli plate to steam idiyappam (இடியாப்பம்), kozhukattai, momos or vegetables in the same pot.
Best for: idiyappam, kozhukattai, momos and steamed vegetables.

One plate, many uses
How to use
Grease the plate lightly. Press idiyappam dough onto it in rounds, or arrange kozhukattai or vegetables. Set it in the pot over boiling water, cover and steam on medium for 8–12 minutes depending on the dish.
Care
Wash with mild soap and warm water. Avoid steel wool and harsh scrubbers, and dry fully after washing.

Which size do I need? Match the size of the idli plate in your pot: Small for the 4 Idli Pot, Medium for the 5 Idli Pot, Large for the 7 Idli Pot and other 7-idli-plate pots.
Can I use it in other pots? Yes, in any pot where a plate of that diameter sits above the water.
Does it rust? No, it does not rust with normal use when dried after washing.
