Curry Masala Powder

Annam's Curry Masala Powder, also known as Curry Masala Podi, is a traditional Chettinad-style spice blend of coriander, red chillies, cumin, pepper and whole spices with stone flower. It gives vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, gravies and fries a rich, aromatic flavour.

Best for: Chicken, mutton, fish and egg curries, vegetable gravies, fries, and Chettinad chicken.

How to use

Sauté onion, ginger-garlic paste and tomato in oil. Add meat, fish, eggs or vegetables with Annam's Recipes Curry Masala Powder and salt. Add water and cook until done, or cook dry for fries. Adjust to taste.

Storage and shelf life

Best before 6 months from the date of packing. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, and always use a dry spoon. Kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator, it stays fresh for up to 12 months.

Yes. Curry Masala Podi is the Tamil name for the same blend.

How is it different from Garam Masala?
Curry Masala Powder is a complete curry blend with coriander, chilli and turmeric, used as the main masala for gravies and fries. Garam Masala is an aromatic blend usually added towards the end of cooking.

Does it contain onion, garlic or fennel?
It contains no onion or garlic. Fennel is one of its ingredients.

Does it contain artificial colour or preservatives?

How long does it stay fresh?
