Annam's Rice Strainer Plate, known in Tamil as Vadithattu (வடிதட்டு), is a stainless steel strainer plate that sits on the mouth of your rice pot. Tilt the pot and the rice water (kanji) drains out while the cooked rice stays inside, with no mess.
Best for: draining rice water when you cook rice in an open pot.

How to use
Place the strainer plate over the mouth of the rice pot. Hold it in place with our Rice Strainer Clips or a thick cloth, then tilt the pot to drain the water.
Care
Wash with mild soap and warm water. Avoid steel wool and harsh scrubbers, and dry fully after washing.
