Rava Laddu Mix

Annam's Rava Laddu Mix (ரவா லட்டு) is a traditional sweet mix of roasted and ground rava, brown sugar, cashews and raisins. Just add hot ghee, stir and shape into fragrant rava laddus in minutes – no grinding, no measuring.

Best for: rava laddu for Diwali, festivals, guests and tea-time.

How to use

Pour hot ghee over Annam's Recipes Rava Laddu Mix a little at a time and stir lightly – use just enough ghee for the mix to hold together when pressed. While still warm, shape into laddus of the size you like.

Storage and shelf life

Best before 6 months from the date of packing. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, and always use a dry spoon. Kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator, it stays fresh for up to 12 months.

Is sugar added?
Yes. Brown sugar is already in the mix, so you only need ghee.

Does it contain wheat or nuts?
Yes. Rava (semolina) is made from wheat, and the mix contains cashews. It is not suitable for anyone with a wheat or nut allergy.

Why are my laddus not holding shape?
Add a little more hot ghee and shape them while the mix is still warm.

How long does it stay fresh?
6 months from the date of packing, and up to 12 months in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
